Rasa Parpati is a unique Ayurvedic flaky preparation where purified Parada(mercury) and Gandhaka (Sulphur) are triturated together to form a special preparation called Kajjali(black sulfide of mercury). It is then melted and poured onto a banana leaf smeared with ghee and placed on a cow dung platform.It is then covered with another banana leaf and pressed with a flat plate, and cooled and collected in a jar.
