Dhootapapeshwar Chandrakala Rasa is a classical ayurvedic herbal-mineral tablet formulation composed of 17 herbal ingredients and 4 mineral ingredients. It is an excellent 'Pitta Shamak' (pacify aggravated Pitta dosha) and a versatile Rasa kalpa used in the treatment of bleeding disorders (especially bleeding through upper and lower orifices), dysfunctional uterine bleeding, Leucorrhoea, Jaundice, peptic ulcers, and vomiting.It is a unique therapeutic preparation where Shuddha Parada(Purified mercury) and Shuddha Gandhak(purified sulfur) are combined together to form a Kajjali (black sulfide of mercury) it is then potentiated with Abhrak bhasma and Tamra Bhasma followed by the herbal ingredients.This preparation is subjected to a procedure called 'Bhavana' (maceration) where the prepared product is macerated in each of the 10 herbal ingredients for 3 days, it is then macerated in Draksha phala Kwatha 7 times and finally made into a tablet form. Being an excellent Pitta Shamak and 'Rakta Stambhak' (arrest bleeding).It is widely used in bleeding disorders such as hemoptysis (blood in sputum), hematemesis (vomiting blood), hematuria (blood in urine), etc., and Urinary tract infections.
