Amlapittantak Yog contains various bhasma which are metallic preparations as per ayurvedic texts. In such medicines metals are a carrier for dethe livering drugs inside the body. These medicines must be taken with milk, cream, butter, ghee or honey. This helps proper absorption of medicines and eliminates the harmful effects of the metal.
