Relieved to finally see daylight after car accident: Shripad Naik

Panaji - More than a week after being hospitalised following a road accident, Union Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik gave his first statement to the media on Tuesday and said he was relieved to finally see daylight. Naik spoke to the media briefly as he was being shifted from the hospital ward to the open campus of the Goa Medical College complex on a wheelchair. "I have finally managed to see the daylight, thanks to blessings from everyone and God," Naik told the media. The Minister said he was likely to be discharged from the hospital in "four to five days". Shripad Naik's wife Vijaya Naik and secretary Deepak Ghume died from injuries after their car met with an accident at Yellapur in Karnataka on January 11 night. The two other occupants of the car, the driver and the Union Minister's personal security official, were also admitted to the Goa hospital. Several top politicians, including Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, called Naik to enquire about his health. (Agency)

Shripad Naik on recovery path: CM

Panaji, Jan 15 (IANS) Union Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik, who was injured in a road mishap earlier this week, is on the path to recovery and may be shifted out of the CCU after some days, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Friday.Since the Minister was on recovery path, doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi may not examine Naik again, Sawant told reporters at the Goa Medical College, where Naik has been admitted since January 11."He may be shifted out of the coronary care unit after some days. His health is improving day by day," the Chief Minister said."AIIMS doctors will not be required to fly in again to examine him. Doctors at the Goa Medical College are coordinating with them," Sawant said.Earlier in the morning, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu visited the hospital and met Naik to ask after his health."Naidu spoke to Naik and wished him speedy recovery," Sawant said.Meanwhile, Medical College Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar said that although Naik's health parameters are normal, his discharge date has not been decided yet.Naik's wife Vijaya and Personal Secretary Deepak Ghume died of injuries after their car met with an accident in Yellapur in Karnataka on Monday night.Naik's driver and Personal Security Officer are recuperating at the Goa hospital.--IANSmaya/tsb

Shripad Naik's vital parameters stable, health improving

Panaji- The vital parameters of Union Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik, who was hospitalised earlier this week following a road mishap, are stable, an official statement said on Thursday. "Union Minister of state for Defence Shripad Naik is much better than yesterday and his general condition is improving. All his vital parameters are stable. His blood pressure is normal. He still continues to be on high flow nasal cannula oxygenation and is maintaining O2 saturation of 98 per cent," a spokesperson said on Thursday. "His urinary and blood tests done today are all within limits. Pulse rate is 84 per cent per minute. His upper limb dressings have been changed today and wounds are healing well. He was given mild side physiotherapy and was made to sit bed side. His left limb physiotherapy was done and chest spirometry has started," the statement issued by the government of Goa also said. Vijaya, Naik's wife, and Deepak Ghume, his personal secretary, died from injuries after their car met with an accident in Yellapur in Karnataka on Monday (Jan 11) night. आर्थोपेडिक सर्जरी के बाद श्रीपद

पणजी| रक्षा राज्यमंत्री श्रीपद नाइक (Shripad Naik) की हालत मंगलवार तड़के दो ऑथोर्पेडिक ऑपरेशन (orthopedic surgery) के बाद अब 'स्थिर' है और सुधार हो रहा है। गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत ने यह जानकारी दी। सावंत ने अस्पताल की कोरोनरी केयर यूनिट में नाइक से मिलने के तुरंत बाद संवाददाताओं से कहा, "मैं भाऊ (नाइक) से मिला हूं। उनकी हालत अब स्थिर है। उन पर की गई दो आथोर्पेडिक सर्जरी सफल रहीं।"   सावंत ने कहा, "ऑपरेशन तड़के 2.30 बजे शुरू हुआ और लगभग 7 बजे तक चला। वह अब सिडेशन में है। उनकी हालत में सुधार हो रहा है।"   सावंत ने कहा कि रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह सोमवार को कर्नाटक में सड़क दुर्घटना में घायल हुए नाइक के स्वास्थ्य का हालचाल लेने के लिए मंगलवार को यहां पहुंचेंगे।   दुर्घटना में नाइक की पत्नी विजया और उनके निजी सचिव दीपक घूमी ने दम तोड़ दिया, जबकि उनके ड्राइवर और एक निजी सुरक्षा अधिकारी को फिलहाल पणजी के पास गोवा मेडिकल कॉलेज में भर्ती कराया गया है।   मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि कर्नाटक के येल्लापुर में दुर्घटना स्थल से नाइक को सोमवार रात गोवा मेडिकल कॉलेज ले जाने के कुछ घंटे बाद दो सर्जरी की गई।   पीएम मोदी ने घायल केंद्रीय मंत्री के बेहतर इलाज के लिए गोवा के सीएम से की बात   सोमवार रात प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी न भी सावंत से बात की और उन्हें उत्तरी गोवा के सांसद और राज्य के पूर्व भाजपा अध्यक्ष नाइक के लिए सबसे अच्छा इलाज सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया।   नरेंद्र मोदी ने गोवा के मुख्यमंत्री डॉ. प्रमोद सावंत से बात करते हुए केंद्रीय मंत्री के इलाज की हर संभव सहायता का निर्देश दिया। मुख्यमंत्री प्रमोद सावंत ने गोवा मेडिकल कॉलेज पहुंचकर डॉक्टरों से इलाज को लेकर समुचित तैयारी करने का निर्देश दिया है।   संबंधित खबर ► केंद्रीय आयुष मंत्री श्रीपद नाइक सड़के हादसे में घायल, पत्नी ने अस्पताल में दम तोड़ा
