The Union Ayush Minster Shri Sarbananda Sonowal laid the foundation stone for the Heartfulness International Yoga academy today at Hyderabad. The Academy will set new benchmarks in yoga training. The Heartfulness International Yoga Academy comprises Yoga halls that can accommodate 100 Yoga students in each hall, therapeutic Yoga rooms for consultation.
One to one training spaces or small group classes pre-natal Yoga rooms a lecture hall with 200 sitting capacity a full-fledged recording studio with editing suites for pre-recorded wellness programs a recording Yoga hall fully equipped for Live online Yoga Classes a Yoga library with books from every Yoga Institutions and access to Yoga research articles.
With Heartfulness Research programs going on and collaborative Yoga research programs that have started, this is a solid place to bring the effectiveness of yoga to the scientific minds. The Academy endeavors to reach all levels of the society in creating programs that are accessible to one and all with training for Health Volunteers, Asha, Angavadi, school-teachers and students as part of life-skill development. The Academy also offers Ayurvedic consultation, massage and therapeutic treatments along with dormitory to Deluxe Suite facilities.
The programs at the Yoga Academy is overseen by an international team with RYT500 Lead Yoga Trainers from India, Europe, Australia, Uzbekistan and the US and wish to extend their invitation to one and all so as to make global the true spirit of Yoga.

The 75 crore Suryanamaskar Initiative as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was inaugurated by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal in the presence of Shri Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Haryana, Shri V Srinivas Goud, Minister of Prohibition & Excise, Sports & Youth Services, Tourism & Culture & Archeology, Govt. of Telangana and Swami Ramdev, President, Patanjali Foundation.
The 75-crore Suryanamaskar project is also a tribute to 75 years of India’s independence. For those who can participate in the project, the yogic practice of Surya Namaskar which literally means ‘sun salutation’ is slated for 21 days for 13 times a day. The project will last from 1 January – 20 February 2022.
This program is being organized by five international organizations - Patanjali Yogpeeth, Heartfulness Institute, NYSF-National Yogasana Sport Federation, Geeta Parivar and Kreeda Bharati and supported by Ministry of Ayush, Ministry of Education, Ministry of External Affairs and ICCR and sponsored by FIT India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India. Other key collaborators are AIU – Association of Indian Universities, NSS, DAV managing committee, Allen Career Institute and Navyog Sansthan and Svyasa.

आयुष मंत्रालय ने आज उत्तराखंड राज्य में आयुष के बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत करने के लिए कई पहलों की घोषणा की। राष्ट्रीय आयुष मिशन (एनएएम) योजना के तहत घोषित इन पहलों से राज्य में आयुर्वेद, यूनानी, प्राकृतिक चिकित्सा, हर्बल दवाओं और आयुष उद्योग के विकास को बढ़ावा देने में मदद मिलेगी। उत्तराखंड में प्राकृतिक संसाधनों की प्रचुरता रही है और उसे आयुष विधियों से इलाज की समृद्ध परंपराओं से नवाजा गया है। उत्तराखंड में इस क्षेत्र के लोगों की स्वास्थ्य संबंधी जरूरतों में योगदान करने की क्षमता है।
‘आयुष संवाद’ कार्यक्रम में मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में केंद्रीय आयुष, बंदरगाह, जहाजरानी और जलमार्ग मंत्री श्री सर्बानंद सोनोवाल ने राज्य में आयुष के बुनियादी ढांचे के विस्तार और उन्नयन के लिए कई पहलों की घोषणा की। इस अवसर पर उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी भी उपस्थित थे।
कार्यक्रम में मौजूद लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए श्री सोनोवाल ने कहा कि अगले दशक में उत्तराखंड में आयुष और पर्यटन क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि होगी। उन्होंने बताया कि भारत सरकार ने राज्य में विभिन्न योजनाओं के माध्यम से 1 लाख करोड़ रुपये का निवेश किया है और उत्तराखंड को एक प्रगतिशील राज्य बनाने के लिए ठोस प्रयास कर रही है।
उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखंड अवसरों की भूमि है और अपनी समृद्ध जैव विविधता के कारण इसमें राज्य के समग्र विकास में योगदान करने की काफी संभावनाएं हैं। समग्र बुनियादी ढांचे को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से, राज्य सरकार के साथ मिलकर भारत सरकार उत्तराखंड घाटी में विभिन्न योजनाओं को लागू करने के लिए ठोस कदम उठाएगी।
केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री सोनोवाल ने कहा, “आज घोषित की गई पहल और बढ़े हुए निवेश से आयुष क्षेत्र के विकास में तेजी लाने में मदद मिलेगी। इसके अलावा, प्रमुख आयुर्वेदिक शिक्षा तक पहुंच सुनिश्चित करने के लिए उत्तराखंड आयुर्वेद विश्वविद्यालय में एक 'मर्म चिकित्सा' प्रशिक्षण केंद्र देश के लिए नोडल केंद्र के रूप में बनाया जाएगा, जो देश और दुनिया के छात्रों को आयुर्वेद में विशेषज्ञता हासिल करने में मदद करेगा। इस मंच के माध्यम से, मैं सभी लोगों से ‘एक राष्ट्र एक भारत’ के विचार को साकार करने की दिशा में काम करने का आग्रह करता हूं।”
आज की अन्य घोषणाओं में राज्य में 10 बिस्तरों वाले अस्पतालों की स्थापना, कोटद्वार में 50 बिस्तरों वाले उन्नत आयुष अस्पताल, हरिद्वार के पिरनकलियार में 50 बिस्तरों वाला यूनानी अस्पताल, दोईवाला में सरकारी होम्योपैथिक मेडिकल कॉलेज की स्थापना, आम जनता के लिए आयुष सेवाओं की उपलब्धता बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से प्रत्येक जिले में मोबाइल आयुष इकाइयों (आयुष रथ) का प्रावधान, जनता तक आयुष सेवाओं की पहुंच और उपलब्धता बढ़ाने के लिए पहले से मौजूद वेलनेस केंद्रों के अलावा 100 और आयुष वेलनेस (स्वास्थ्य) केंद्र स्थापित करने के लिए वित्तीय सहायता शामिल है।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान यह भी घोषणा की गई कि आमतौर पर उपलब्ध औषधीय पौधों के उपयोग को लोकप्रिय बनाने के लिए राष्ट्रीय औषधीय पौधा बोर्ड (एनएमपीबी) छात्रों के बीच जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए 200 स्कूल हर्बल गार्डन को मदद करेगा; एनएमपीबी उत्तराखंड में किसानों को गुणवत्तापूर्ण रोपण सामग्री प्रदान करने के लिए 13 जिलों में 13 नर्सरी की मदद करेगा।
औषधीय पौधों के लिए मूल्य संवर्धन, सुखाने, भंडारण और विपणन के बुनियादी ढांचे को बढ़ाने के लिए स्थानीय क्लस्टर स्थापित करने के लिए प्रति किसान समूह 15 लाख रुपये की सहायता दी जाएगी और 'मर्म चिकित्सा' में उत्तराखंड आयुर्वेद विश्वविद्यालय को देश के लिए नोडल केंद्र बनाया जाएगा।
उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने इस अवसर पर कहा कि उत्तराखंड की सरकार पारंपरिक चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में क्षमता और संसाधनों के निर्माण और उन्हें मजबूत करने के लिए राष्ट्रीय आयुष मिशन को पूरा सहयोग देगी। उन्होंने कहा कि हम उत्तराखंड का 25वां स्थापना दिवस मनाने जा रहे हैं, ऐसे में हमने राज्य के विकास के लिए एक रोड मैप तैयार किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार तथा राज्य सरकार के संयुक्त प्रयासों से उत्तराखंड आयुष, स्वास्थ्य सेवा, पर्यटन और शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में देश के प्रगतिशील राज्यों में से एक होगा।

The Ministry of AYUSH today announced a series of initiatives to strengthen the AYUSH infrastructure in the state of Uttarakhand. The initiatives announced under the National AYUSH Mission(NAM) scheme will help in promoting Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy, Herbal Medicines and development of AYUSH Industry in the state. Uttarakhand has been blessed with natural resources and vibrant traditions of AYUSH practices which has the capabilities to contribute to the healthcare needs of people in this region.
As the Chief Guest of the programme, AYUSH SAMVAAD, Union Minster of AYUSH, Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal announced series of initiatives for expanding and upgrading AYUSH Infrastructure in the state. Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering Shri Sonowal, said that the next decade AYUSH and tourism sector will see significant growth in the Uttarakhand. The government of India has invested 1 lakh crore through various schemes in the state and is making concerted efforts to make Uttarakhand as a progressive state.
Uttarakhand is a land of opportunities and due to its rich biodiversity, it has great potential to contribute to the overall growth of the state. With the aim to strengthen the overall infrastructure, the government of India along with the state government will take rigorous steps in the Uttarakhand valley to implement various schemes.
“The initiatives and increased investment announced today will help accelerate the growth of AYUSH sector. In Addition, to ensure access to premier ayurvedic education, a ‘Marma Chikitsa’ training center will be made in the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University as the nodal centre for the country, which will help students from across the country and world to specialize themselves in Ayurveda. Through this platform, I urge every to work towards making the idea of One Nation One India come true.” The Minister further added.
Other announcement includes establishing 10 bedded hospitals in the state;50-bedded upgraded AYUSH hospital in Kotdwar 50-bedded Unani hospital in Pirankaliyar, Haridwar; establishment of Government Homeopathic Medical College at Doiwala provision of mobile AYUSH units (AYUSH Raths)in each district to increase the availability of AYUSH services for general public financial assistance for setting up 100 more AYUSH wellness centres in addition to the already existing ones to increase access and availability of AYUSH services to the public.
During the programme, it was also announced that to popularize the use of commonly available medicinal plants, National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) will support 200 school herbal garden to generate awareness amongst students; NMPB will support 13 nurseries in 13 districts to provide quality planting material to the farmers in Uttarakhand.
The assistance of 15lakhs per farmer group will be given for setting up local cluster for value addition, drying, warehousing and augmenting marketing infrastructure for medicinal plants and in ‘MarmaChikitsa’ Uttarakhand Ayurveda University is to be made the nodal centre for the country.
On this occasion, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Utterakhand government will extend all support to the National AYUSH Mission to build and strengthen capacities and resources in the area of traditional medicine. As we will be celebrating the 25th foundation day of Uttarakhand, we have charted a road map for the development of the state and with joint efforts of central and state governments, Uttarakhand will be one of the progressive estates in the areas including of AYUSH, healthcare, tourism, and education.

Dr. Gurdip Singh : Introduction
Gurdip Singh is a professor from Gwalior, India. He is a senior professor of Ayurveda and the Director of Post Graduate Studies at the SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital in Hassan, Karnataka. He is considered an authority on the Ayurveda work Charaka Samhita. Singh was a dean of Institute for Post Graduate Teaching and Research in Ayurveda at Gujarat Ayurved University at Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, announced a slew of major initiatives for promotion of AYUSH in Arunachal Pradesh here today. This is in continuation to the focused approach to develop the AYUSH sector in the entire northeast.
A new Ayurveda Hospital with 60 beds to be established at Pasighat
Speaking at the North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda and Folk Medicine Research (NEIAFMR) at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh today, the minister announced an investment of Rs 53.72 crores to develop new infrastructure within the campus. A new Ayurveda College with a student intake of 30 as well as a 60 bedded Ayurveda hospital will be set up inside the NEIAFMR campus at Pasighat bringing a direct employment of 86 posts in addition to the existing capacity. An academic block, a boys hostel, a girls hostel, sports complex are also being planned to be constructed in the near future.
Addressing the gathering Shri Sonowal said, “Folk medicine is the mixture of traditional healing practices and beliefs. In Northeast, we have a strong culture of folk medicine which have not been preserved in a scientific way. We are now striving towards preserving as well as enriching this wonderful gift of medicine from the Vedic era that mother nature has bestowed upon us. I am happy to announce the establishment of a new Ayurveda college along with a hospital here. This is going to further strengthen our effort through NEIAFMR to preserve and further the rich traditional knowledge.”
Elucidating about the future plans for the propagation of AYUSH sector in the Northeast region, Sonowal further added, “Apart from strengthening our Ayurveda colleges in the region, a few other important institutes like Regional Raw Drug Repository (RRDR) & Museum, Sophisticated Analytical Instrument Facility (SAIF), State of Art Panchakarma Treatment & Research Centre, and Paramedical Teaching Centre are planned to be set up in the region in due course.”
The North Eastern Institute of Folk Medicine (NEIFM), Pasighat, which is renamed as North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Folk Medicine Research is an autonomous National Institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The establishment of the Institute, spread over an area of 40 acres, was approved by the Union Cabinet on 21st February, 2008. NEIAFMR has been established with the goal to strengthen and develop traditional healthcare practices and for the benefit of the nation, with special focus on North Eastern region.
The Institute intends to Introduce Ayurveda system of medicine in North Eastern Region in general and in Arunachal Pradesh in particular, document and assess Local Health traditions, Healing Knowledge, Drugs Therapeutic product development based on Traditional knowledge, protection of Traditional Knowledge through IPR regime, support conservation and sustainable use of Traditional Practices, Biodiversity, etc.

Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping and Waterways will inaugurate the Incubation Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (AIIA- ICAINE) at All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), on 29th Oct 2021 at a program organized in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, MoS for Ayush and Women & Child Development will also grace the program being organized as a part of the celebrations of 6th Ayurveda Day on the theme ‘Ayurveda for Poshan’.
A national seminar on "Start-ups in Ayush Sector- Scope and Opportunities (AYUR-UDYAMAH)” is also being organized on 30th October as a part of the program.
The event will witness representatives from Ayurveda Sector across the country, and about 400 AYUSH institutes and MoU partners working in collaboration with AIIA.
To promote entrepreneurship leveraging the academic knowledge, All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), has set up an Incubation and Innovation Centre in its campus to nucleate a cluster of new age ventures. AIIA has been recognized as Host Institute (HI) under Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India which would provide opportunities to the innovators in developing and nurturing their ideas.
The incubation centre will be set up under the mandate of Ministry of Ayush given to AIIA to nucleate a cluster of new age ventures and to promote entrepreneurship leveraging the academic knowledge. “Startups are new types of wealth creators in our country”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his Independence Day speech on 15 August, 2021, underscoring the need of the government to relentlessly work towards making India’s Startups and the Startup Ecosystem, the best in the world. Government of India is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) through States/UTs for development and promotion of AYUSH system of medicine.
In addition to above, AIIA has developed an immunity boosting 'Bal Raksha Kit' for children up to the age of 16 years which will be launched in the event. It is proposed to distribute 10,000 free Bal Raksha kits to children on the occasion of Ayurveda Day. Recently All India Institute of Ayurveda has also established a well-equipped Blood Bank with relevant licence from the concerned authority of Government of India which will be inaugurated on the day of the event.
AYURVEDA FOOD EXPO will be a major attraction of the event to exhibit strength of Ayurveda in Food Sector through showcasing various Innovative recipes like Ready-to-eat healthy foods and others. It will serve as the ideal platform to bring together various stake holders of Ayurveda under one roof.
On 30th Oct 2021, during National seminar at AIIA campus, Eminent Speakers from Ministry of Ayush, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), IIT, NCISM, NIFTEM, Food Technologists, Entrepreneurs will be sharing their expertise. An Ayurveda Food Expo will also be organized during the event to exhibit strength of Ayurveda in Food Sector.
The event will also include Launch of Qualification Packs for AYUSH Sub Sector Skill Council under Health Sector Skill Council (HSCC). AIIA is acting as a nodal organization under the directions of Ministry of AYUSH in the execution of skill development programs in AYUSH sector since 2018 and the Ministry has designated AIIA as the centre of excellence in skill development under HSSC.
