Himalaya Liv 52 syrup is an Ayurvedic syrup made from a combination of various herbs. It is a herbal remedy made from the extracts of Capers, Chicory, Arjuna, and a lot more. It is also known as Liver Care or liver syrup because of its beneficial effects on the liver. it is also one of the few and only undisputed medicines on the front of liver diseases because it is a cohesive and complete solution for improving the function of the liver that is yet to be discovered by allopathic medicine.
The ingredients of Himalaya Liv 52 syrup are natural and have been used for centuries in India to treat various diseases. This syrup is known to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which can help to reduce inflammation and protect the liver from damage.
This is what various modern researchers have established regarding the liv 52 syrup, but there is an ayurvedic side to this whole game, and one cannot escape from that side of the game considering that this medicine was born due to an expanse of knowledge in that front only.
Agni or the digestive power in our body is the central component of health in Ayurveda. A weak digestive fire means the formation of unwanted aama (toxins) in the body resulting in the formation of many diseases, an Agni which is too strong will start digesting your own body resulting in diseases like shosha (extremely low weight and weakness) and dhatu khshaya.
Now the drugs used in this medicine, drugs like Amalki, Chitraka, and guduchi are medicines here that help in bringing saatmaya( or balance to your digestive fire) which helps in samyak paachan of your food resulting in proper nutrition of your body. Bringing this ethereal concept into the practical world means that consumption of these drugs is leading to an improvement in digestion which is happening because these drugs are interacting with the yakrit and bringing completeness to its system, this completion and healing is the cause of improvement of Agni. This improvement of agni obviously helps in various aspects like increasing appetite, increasing digestion, and curing problems like anorexia.

Nearly 300 probable cases of children with severe hepatitis have been detected in 20 countries worldwide, with some in Southeast Asia, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said, BBC reported.
Health officials around the world are investigating a mysterious increase in cases of the liver condition which was first spotted in the UK.
A common virus called adenovirus, which has rebounded after the pandemic, could be causing the surge, BBC reported. One death has been reported by the WHO.
As of 1 May, it said most cases of young children with hepatitis had been detected in Europe with small numbers also reported in the Americas, western Pacific and Southeast Asia.
The first cases of this unusual hepatitis were spotted in Scotland in children under the age of 10. More than 110 cases have now been recorded in the UK so far.
Most children had a mild form of liver inflammation, although 10 children have needed a liver transplant, the report said.
They had initial symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea followed by yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, called jaundice.
The hepatitis viruses that normally cause the condition (viruses A, B, C, D and E) were not detected in any of the children.
Countries worldwide started looking for the same unexplained condition 'of unknown origin' in children after it was highlighted by UK health officials.
There is no reason to believe the rare liver condition itself is spreading around the world, BBC reported. (Agency)

Hyderabad, July 27 (IANS) Hepatitis is the second most common infection with high mortality rate after tuberculosis in India, and it is estimated that around 5 crore Indians suffer from Hepatitis-B infections while more than 1.2 crore from Hepatitis-C.On the eve of World Hepatitis Day, experts said vaccination against this virus is as important as against coronavirus. The World Health Organisation considers hepatitis as a serious ailment, and WHO's theme for this year is "Hepatitis can't wait", conveying the urgency of efforts needed to eliminate hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030.With a person dying every 30 seconds from a hepatitis-related illness, it is important to note that India can't wait to act on viral hepatitis.Dr Chandan Kumar, Consultant Hepatologist, Gleneagles Global Hospitals pointed out that Hepatitis-B infection is a major global health problem. "This virus can cause chronic infection and puts people at high risk of death from cirrhosis and liver cancer. And another interesting fact is that of the total patients suffering from this condition, around 80 per cent are unaware of it, and hence it is termed as silent invaders in the initial stages. This unawareness further increases the chances of transmission between individuals and delay in treatment leads to poor outcomes later."According to Dr P. Anita Reddy, Consultant Gastroenterologist, SLG Hospitals, Hepatitis-B is the second most common cause of cirrhosis in India, after alcohol consumption, and is the leading cause of liver cancers in India. "Being the most important organ of the body, the liver is involved in a multitude of functions and any abnormality or restriction in its function can severely affect the body and can even lead to death. The inflammation of liver is called hepatitis and is caused due to viral hepatitis, alcohol consumption, drug toxicity, autoimmune etc. Excess fat accumulated in the liver too can cause liver damage," she said.Highlighting the importance of vaccination against hepatitis, Dr Raghuram Kondala, Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist, Continental Hospitals, said for many years, a safe and effective vaccine that offers a 98-100 per cent protection against Hepatitis-B is available in India and around the world. Preventing Hepatitis-B infection averts the development of complications including the development of liver cirrhosis and liver cancer. "It is strongly recommended that all infants receive the Hepatitis-B vaccine as soon as possible after birth, preferably within 24 hours - followed by two or three doses of Hepatitis-B vaccine at least four weeks apart to complete the series. Timely birth dose is an effective measure to reduce transmission from mother-to-child," he said.Healthcare sector in the country must highlight the importance of addressing the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HBV and call for increased domestic and international awareness programmes, to prevent Hepatitis-B mother-to-child transmission and expand access to hepatitis prevention, testing and treatment services, with a view to achieving the 2030 elimination targets."Many at risk of hepatitis are either unaware of the problem or continue to live in denial, and no ailment can be contained or rooted out unless the community gets involved voluntarily. It is important that relevant authorities, healthcare machinery, civil society, along with those suffering from related ailments, speak more and more about risks associated with hepatitis virus, and stress on the need for vaccination against it. We cannot overcome this problem unless we talk more about it, and strive to prevent its spread," said Dr B. Sivananda Reddy, Consultant, Medical Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist, Aware Gleneagles Global Hospital.--IANSms/vd
Agartala Government Medical College's (AGMC) Microbiology department head Tapan Majumder said that it is a very positive development that in India there has been no such instance found where the Covid-19 is being transmitted to the new born baby from the mother even though the coronavirus disease is a communicable disease."Congenital and vertical transmission of coronavirus is not possible as there is no receipter at the placenta to receive or entertain the virus. But HIV positive and hepatitis virus can be transmitted to the new born baby from the mother," Majumder, also a Professor of the AGMC, told IANS. During the two pandemic waves, since last year around 250 Covid-19 positive pregnant women have delivered healthy babies at the AGMC, Tripura's main Covid medical college and hospital."During the first wave, as many as 214 Covid-19 positive women had delivered healthy babies while in the second wave 35 such mothers gave birth to fit and normal babies. There were also many cother ases of caesarean delivery," said Jayanta Ray, Head of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of AGMC.He told IANS that before admission, all pregnant women are mandatorily undergoing Covid testing and if anyone is found with a positive case, due health protocols are being maintained. "However, family members and relatives of the new born babies and the concerned women have to be more careful. They should not indiscriminately come closer to both the kid and the mother," said Ray, a renowned Gynaecologist.Health officials in different northeastern states said that unlike in the first wave children below 15 years are also being tested for Covid-19 in reasonable numbers during the second wave in Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya and Assam, forcing the governments of these states to constitute panels of paediatric doctors.A total of 31 minor girls and eight caretakers at two orphanage homes in Tripura have recently tested positive for Covid-19 and most of them have already recovered from the infectious disease. As the nature and intensity of the second wave of Covid-19 are diverse, physician Pradip Bhowmik has suggested forming study groups for an in-depth study of the disease."It is witnessed in the second wave that during the post-Covid period many patients are being affected by pneumonia and some by mucormycosis (black fungus)."Unlike in the first wave, a large number of young people and children are being infected by the coronavirus. In the second wave the recovery rate is very slow and the death rate is higher," Bhowmik told IANS.He said that it is being observed that Indian strains of the virus are more dangerous then the UK and Brazilian variants.Bhowmik, who is an expert in Hepatitis disease and has worked on the disease in the northeastern states and Bangladesh, said that genetically tribals' immunity is always better but they are also falling prey to Covid-19, necessitating a serious study.Of the 45.58 million populations of the eight northeastern states including Sikkim, tribals constitute around 29 per cent of the total populace.(Sujit Chakraborty can be contacted at [email protected])--IANS<br>sc/sdr/
New York, April 28 (IANS) US researchers have found that combining Remdesivir -- a drug currently approved for treating Covid-19 patients -- with repurposed drugs for hepatitis C virus (HCV) is 10 times more effective at slowing down SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus. The study, published in the journal Cell Reports, showed that four HCV drugs -- Simeprevir, Vaniprevir, Paritaprevir, and Grazoprevir -- in combination with Remdesivir boosted the efficacy of the drug by as much as 10-fold.The combination therapy points a way toward a treatment for unvaccinated people who become infected, as well as for vaccinated people whose immunity has waned, for example due to the emergence of virus variants that escape this immune protection, said the research team."Because these HCV drugs are already approved for use and their potential side effects are known, such a combination therapy could be tested in humans more quickly than for a new drug," said Robert M. Krug, Professor at the University of Texas. One drawback of Remdesivir is that it must be administered intravenously, limiting its use to patients already admitted to the hospital."Our goal is to develop a combination of oral drugs that can be administered to outpatients before they are sick enough to require hospitalisation," said Krug. "The HCV drugs that enhance Remdesivir's antiviral activity are oral drugs. It is important to identify oral drugs that inhibit the SARS-CoV-2 polymerase in order to develop an effective outpatient treatment."Using a supercomputer to model how drugs bind to viral proteins, the team predicted that 10 HCV drugs would bind snugly to a SARS-CoV-2 protease. The researchers tested seven of these drugs in a secure biocontainment facility for their ability to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 virus replication in monkey and human cells growing in culture. All seven HCV drugs inhibited virus replication, but all the team were surprised to find that four of them inhibited an entirely different type of SARS-CoV-2 protease, called the papain-like protease. And that difference proved to be important. When each of the seven HCV drugs was tested for virus inhibition in combination with Remdesivir, only the four that targeted the unexpected protease boosted the efficacy of Remdesivir, by as much as tenfold, the team explained.--IANSrvt/vd
