Amalaki Rasayana is made out of the fruits of Emblica Officinalis. The Ayurvedic name Amla is an Indian traditional Ayurvedic drug used as a rejuvenating medicine in aging conditions. The fruits of Amla commonly used in Ayurveda are assumed to enhance defense against diseases. Ayurveda literature mentions Amalaki to have a beneficial role in cancer, diabetes, liver and heart diseases, gastric ulcers and various other conditions. Amlaki Rasayana has antioxidant, immunomodulatory, antipyretic, analgesic, cytoprotective, antitussive and gastro-protective actions. It also used for memory enhancement and for lowering blood cholesterol levels.
Properties and uses
Vyas Amlaki Rasayana mainly has antioxidant action and Vitamin C content, which fights against free radicals and reduces the signs of ageing. This action is likely to be responsible for its rejuvenating property. It reduces a headache, blurred vision, burning sensation in eyes, eye fatigue, eyestrain, irritated eyes, dizziness, double vision, etc. It is also effective for gastritis, peptic ulcer, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatitis, skin problems, hair fall, and several other health problems.
Dosage and Anupana
3 to 6 grams once or twice a day with water or as directed by physician.
However, no side effects of Baidyanath Amalaki Rasayana have been reported by patients till now, while taking this medicine. You are recommended not to exceed prescribed dosage and keep your physician informed while using this ayurvedic medicine.
