Kottakkal Sathadhauta Ghritam (Lami Tube) is an ayurvedic medicine in ointment form mainly formed of purification of ghritam. It is mainly used in case of burnt skin, wrinkles, or sunburnt as a moisturizer. It is very effective in aiding dull skin with a rough surface. It helps to smoothen the skin.This medicine especially has antiseptic and soothing properties that provide long-lasting skin protection. It functions by repairing the damaged skill cells and regenerating them. Thus it is also helpful for cracked heels, sunburns, and scars. It is naturally formulated with a breakthrough complex that penetrates deep into the skin layer and makes the skin look gloomy.It has vaat and pitta shamak properties thus pacifying the vitiated vata, dryness, and hyperpigmentation, cooling the skin, and is best for acne, pimples, etc. Due to the sheetal guna of ghritam, this medicine has significant effects in burning sensation, wounds, leprosy, and chickenpox as lepam.It is a unique formulation because of its method of preparation, in which the goghritam is taken in a vessel and mixed with cold water, and then a kneading action is performed. After the kneading action, the mixture is kept to settle down, and then the above water is drained.
