Dhootpapeshwar Ashokarishta is a widely prescribed Ayurvedic formulation produced by fermentation of decoction of its principal integrant Ashoka (Saraca asoca) and other ingredients listed below. Properties and Uses
It is a uterine tonic used for treating problems related to the menstrual cycle.
It helps in regulating hormones, symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome and menstrual discomfort.
It is useful in various gynecological conditions like Menorrhagia, Metrorrhagia, Menometrorrhagia, PCOS, Dysmenorrhea, etc.
Dosage and Anupam:
15 – 30 ml once or twice a day with an equal quantity of water, usually advised to be taken after meals.
It may cause missed periods, delayed menstruation or decreased menstrual flow hence it should only be taken under physician’s supervision.
It should be taken in caution during pregnancy and lactation period.
10 years. Consume the bottle within 2 months after opening.
