Classical Medicine - Arishta / Arishtam
Amritarishta is a Classical formulation of Ayurveda widely used for the treatment of chronic fever, infectious diseases and helps the body to fight against bacterial and viral infections. Generally, it is used for debility after fever. It reduces body pains occurring after a chronic illness, chronic fevers or infectious diseases. Amritarishta is also beneficial for patients suffering from gout or elevated uric acid level, rheumatoid arthritis, poor appetite and hepatitis (jaundice).
Amritarishta has following medicinal actions--Antipyretic, mild Analgesic, rejuvenative, adaptogen, antipruritic, antioxidant, hematogenic, detoxifier , digestive Stimulant and dlood Purifier or detoxifier.
Dosage and Anupana
12 ml to 24 ml twice daily mixing with an equal amount of water after meals or as directed by physician.
Amritarishta has no side effects when used wisely according to Doshas and in the recommended dosage. High dosage is not recommendable and may result in burning or irritation in the alimentary canal due to its alcoholic content.
