Baidyanath Prasarini Taila contains Paederia foetida, Oil of Sesamum indicum, CurdFermented gruel,Cow milk, Madhuka, Licorice, Glycyrrhiza glabra etc. This oil had long been used in traditional Ayurveda practice for treating disorders due to Vat dosha as in Grudhrasi (sciatica), Asthibhagna (bone fracture), Mandagni (digestive impairment), Apasmar (seizure disorder), Unmad (psychosis), Vidradhi (abscess).

Prasarini tail or oil also cures vitiated Vaata in Twak, Sira and Sandhi, useful in strengthening of body organs as well as muscle system.


  1. Prasarini – Paederia foetida – 4.8 kg
  2. Water for decoction – 12.288 liters, boiled and reduced to 3.072 liters
  3. Taila – Oil of Sesamum indicum – 3.072 liters
  4. Dadhi – Curds – 3.072 liters
  5. Kanji – Fermented gruel – 3.072 liters
  6. Ksheera – Cow milk – 3.072 liters

  1. Chitraka – Plumbago zeylanica
  2. Pippalimoola – Long pepper root – Piper longum
  3. Madhuka – Licorice – Glycyrrhiza glabra
  4. Saindhava – Rock Salt
  5. Bala – Country mallow (root) – Sida cordifolia
  6. Shatapushpa – Indian Dill (fruit) 0 Anethum sowa / Peucedanum graveolens
  7. Devadaru – Himalayan Cedar (bark / heart wood) – Cedrus deodara
  8. Rasna- Pluchea lanceolata
  9. Gajapippali – Scindapsus officinalis / Piper chaba
  10. Root of Prasarini – Paederia foetida
  11. Mamsi – Nardostachys jatamansi
  12. Bhallataka – Purified Semecarpus anacordium

Properties and Uses

Prasarini tail is the drug of choice in diseases having Sira-Snayu Sankocha as pathology, as it can act on such issue by Prasarana of Rakta. Microangiopathy and Sira-Snayu Sankocha are having similar output. Padabhyanga with using Prasarinyadi Taila in Suptavata can increase the circulation and there by correcting the pathology of Microangiopathy in diabetic peripheral neuropathy.

Baidyanath Prasarini taila in indicated in the following Vata rogas like locked jaw, stiffness in lower back, sciatica, limping, kyphosis, paraplegia, facial palsy, stiffness in the head and neck and also useful for women to conceive, and to overcome vaginal ailments and for men to rectify Shukra doshas.

Direction to Use

Use it as external application and I Ayurvedic therapies like Kativasti, Greevabasti, Basti, and Abhyanga.

Take sufficient quantity of this oil and apply gently on the affected area 2-3 times a day.
