Description
Ras Parpati is one among the mercurial preparations frequently being used in Ayurveda for different ailments. It made out of medicinal herbs and minerals and is available in the form of fine powder.
Baidyanath Ras Parpati is indicated in Ayurveda practice for the treatment of dysentery, malabsorption syndrome, diarrhea, anaemia, jaundice, fever, abdominal pain, piles, certain inflammatory conditions and skin diseases.
Ingredients
- Suiddha gandhaka-Herbal purified sulphur-10 grams
- Sudhha Parad-herbal purified mercury- 10 grams
Properties and Uses
It cures the irritation and inflammation of colon mucosa by reducing laxity.The Rasa Parpati also helps in proper secretion of digestive juices causing correction of digestion, enhances absorption of nutrients and minerals and therefore, provides strength and reduces malnutrition.
Baidyanath Ras parpati is indicated in chronic diarrhoea, indigestion, loss of appetite, anaemia, Abdominal pain, Jaundice, Spleen enlargement, Piles, Bhasmak rog, Hyperacidity, Ulcerative colitis
Digestive weakness, malabsorption.
Dosages and Anupan
250 mg one or twice a day with milk, butter milk, bhrasta jeerak churna(roasted cummin seed powder), or hingu churna.
Dose may be increased gradually up to 1125 mg.
Side effects
This drug contains heavy metal, so it should be taken with strict medical supervision.
Do not exceed prescribed dose.
It better to avoid this drug in pregnant women, lactating mother and children.
Self life
10 years from the date of manufacturing.
