Description
Panchamrut Parpati is a traditional Ayurvedic formulation with herbal and mineral compositions. It is available as fine powdered form to be taken orally. It is used in the treatment of heamorrhoids, malabsorption, syndrome, anorexia. This drug should be taken under strict medical supervision as it made out of heavy metal.
Ingredients
- Shuddha Gandhaka – Herbal purified Sulphur – 96 g
- Shuddha Parada – Herbal purified Mercury – 48 g
- Loha Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Iron – 24 g
- Abhraka Bhasma – Purified and processed Mica – 12 g
- Tamra Bhasma – Bhasma prepared from Copper – 6 g
Properties and Uses
Parpati is a prestigious and steady preparation in in Ayurveda for the management of Grahani Rog(Malabsorption syndrome). It is a Murchana variety, attaining Vyadhiharana property and lays its prime importance in Grahani Rog. It is not absorbed in the stomach instead, it is absorbed properly in the duodenum and onwards; hence it is effective in Grahani Rog specially.
Traditionally, this medicine is indicated for the treatment of Grahani(Malabsorption syndrome), Indigestion, piles, chronic diarrhoea, raktapitta(bleeding disorders wherein there is bleeding from the mouth, nose, eye, ear,anus, genitals or skin) and kshaya janya rogas.
Dosages and Anupan
250 mg to 2 grams(Max. Dose) in day along with honey or according to disease as directed by Ayurvedic Physician.

This medicine should not be taken without doctors advice.
Over dosage may cause poisonous effects.
Self life
No expiry date, older is better as mentioned in Ayurveda texts.
