Baidyanath Navayas Louh is a classical formulation that has property to calms the pitta in the body.

Vavayas is a Sanskrit word, made out of two different words Nav means; 9 ingredients and Ayas means; Iron. As it’s name indicated, Navayas louh is used in Iron deficiency. It also can be used in skin and liver diseases as it has liver protection actions.

Ingredients

Trikatu (Ginger, Pepper, Long pepper)-10g

Triphala [Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica)]-10g

Musta (Cyperus rotundus)-10g

Vidanga (Embelia ribes)-10g

Chitraka (Plumbago zeylanica)-10g

Lauha bhasma (Processed Iron Bhasma)-90g

Properties and Uses

Navayas louh has the liver protecting action(anti-hepatotoxic property) and shows beneficial effects in the treatment of the liver disorders, improves rakta dhatu that is why it gives wonder results in Iron deficiency.

Navyas lauh acts as appetizer, digestive, channel cleasner, body humour specifier, rasaraktavardhana, rejuvenative and balya (one which increases strength) panduhara (one which subsides pallor).

Baidyanath Navayas Lauh is Haematinic, alterative & tonic and ndicated in anaemia, phthisis, spleen disorders & general debility.

Dosages and Anupan

1-2 tablets(upto 1gram) twice a day after having meal with honey or hot water.

In Iron deficiency: It is given with milk.

In Krimij rog: It is given with honey and powder of Vayavidsng.

In cardiac problems: It is given with Arjuna kwath.

In Panduroga: It is given with Punarnava Swaras and Honey.

Side Effects

People with sensitive stomach and gastritis should exercise caution, while taking this medicine.

You need a special care, while administering this medicine in children.

Self medication may proven to be severe complications.

It should be taken under strict medical supervision.
