Piles is a common health problem that occurs after the veins in the anus and rectum are swollen. In this problem, there is swelling in the stool door. This problem can be caused by family history, heavy lifting, constipation, food allergies, low fiber diet, obesity, pregnancy, lack of physical activity, and prolonged sitting or standing.

Touch-me-not plant is a well known ayurvedic herb to cure bleeding piles. It is called Lajjalu (Mimosa Pudica). It loads alkaloid mimosine, which alleviates pain and detracts inflammation.

The phenolic content and antioxidant action of this plant accelerate wound healing. In the primitive duration, Ayurvedic physicians prescribed a decoction made using touch-me-not plant to cure piles. External application of leaf paste was used traditionally to treat pile mass.

Triphala present in Pilogest Capsule contains specialized Phyto-constituents like gallic, ellagic acid, tannin, and vitamin C, which act not only to help defecate the bowel but also acts as a classic anti-oxidant, preventing future occurrence of piles and fistula. "Tri" define as three and "phala" known as a fruit.

Triphala is a conjunction of three fruits that is one of the most well known and famous Ayurvedic medicine for piles. The pristine Ayurvedic text Sharangdhara Samhita enjoin the use of Triphala for the cure of is a formulation that is advised for piles in the cure of piles, fissures, and hemorrhoids. The three fruits that compose Triphala are Amla, Haritaki, and Bibhitaki.

The fruit Haritaki is also known as Terminalia chebula. The word ‘Haritaki’ interpret as ‘that which removes disease and makes the body shine’. This ergastic fruit is used in Ayurveda to balance all the three Doshas. It is used in Ayurveda to improve digestion, detoxify, and helps in healing. Haritaki is mainly useful in traditional piles cure in Ayurveda as it eases the bowel movement and helps the pressure on the impacted areas.  It is also an Ayurvedic anti-inflammatory and endorses healing.

Amla or the Indian gooseberry is also known as Emblica Officinalis. It is a normal ingredient in both food and traditional medicine. Amla is explained in Ayurveda as having the capability to balance all the three Doshas. It is used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine as an antioxidant, immunomodulator, anti-inflammatory, astringent, laxative, and Rejuvenated.

Guggul is a fragrant resin known as an anti-inflammatory herb in Ayurveda. It helps in detracting the inflammation in fistula-anorectal and hemorrhoidal positions. It is a purgative and astringent agent that easily metabolizes the bioactive etiologic factor of hemorrhoids, especially toxins.

The gum resin is proven to be a rich base of steroids that relieves itching and pain. It also balances the body’s Kapha Dosha. It is one of the most ergastic wound healers in Ayurveda. It aids the body’s detoxification process and helps enhance the metabolism of fat in the body thereby detracting cholesterol levels.

Home Remedies to Cure Piles

Aloe Vera- Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory and therapeutic properties that can help reduce the irritation and inflammation caused by bleeding. Apply a little aloe vera gel on your anal area and gently massage this area.

Coconut Oil- Coconut oil has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, which can help reduce swelling, pain, and discomfort due to bleeding.

Witch Hazel- Witch hazel contains tannins and oils that reduce inflammation. According to research, witch hazel has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the problem of hemorrhoids.

Cold Compress- Ice pack is an effective home remedy for painful hemorrhoids as it relieves pain and inflammation.

Tea Tree Oil- Tea tree oil has strong anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce inflammation. Research has shown that the antiseptic properties of tea tree oil can help reduce the symptoms of hemorrhoids.
