Dr. Amit Hardia is an Ayurvedic practitioner with over a decade of experience. He is based out of Indore and practices as senior consultant at Nisarg Ayurvedic Clinic & Panchkarma Centre. Dr. Hardia is committed towards transforming the health of his patients through Ayurveda. Read his interview below.
Please tell us about your educational background and professional qualifications.
I got selected in entrance exam (P.A.H.U.T.) with 3rd position all over Madhya Pradesh. So, I joined Shubhdeep Ayurved Medical College, Indore and completed my B.A.M.S. in 2007.
I was selected in Pre-PG entrance exam to pursue my M.D. in basic principles of Ayurveda from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore. I completed in 2016. I have also done my P.G. Diploma in Yoga science from Davv, Indore.
Why did you choose Ayurvedic practices?
I was always interested in salient features of Ayurveda in reference to conventional medicines and Ayurvedic approach in different medical ailments.
What is your experience when it comes to treating patients? Do they trust the treatment?
I have been practicing for over 10 years in this field and I have got very good experience. It is immensely satisfying. Also patients always have given positive feedback.
Any challenge that you face as a practitioner?
Although there are so many challenges faced during my practice but I have been able to resolve them all. A very common situation faced by me is that people are scarcely aware about benefits of Ayurveda.
How effective is traditional medicine as a cure?
Traditional medicines are very effective when it's made by traditional method. Usually, I prepare my medicines myself.
What do you think of Ayurveda’s future and its role in integrated medicine?
Nowadays many more people are coming with the demand for Ayurveda treatment and I hope soon Ayurveda will be in the mainstream.

Any hobbies or activities you engage in, outside your professional life?
I like to do yoga and I have been at it every day since 15 years. also, I teach how to do yoga scientifically to my patients.
What message would you like to convey to the people on Wellbeing?
My message is that live happily, don't get stressed, be creative, and work hard.
