A 2-Day CME (Continued Medical Education) program on ‘Kayachikitsa - Clinical Management & legal issues in Ayurveda’ was organized by Nirogstreet at Indian Social Institute, Delhi from February 24-25.
The CME was attended by a large number of Ayurveda practitioners and students who came from different states. The CME lecture sessions were delivered by Dr. Surendra Chaudhary (Ex-Ayurveda Officer and Uttar Pradesh State President of Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad), Dr. Gaurang Joshi (International Consultant and Director of Atharva Multispeciality Ayurveda & Panchakarma Hospital, Dr. Anuj Jain (Senior Ayurveda Consultant and Physician at Sri Vishwadhyas Ayurvedic Chikitsalaya & Panchakarma Centre), and Dr. Abhishek Gupta (Vice President, Ayurveda Growth, Nirogstreet).
The session commenced with Deep Prajwalan and Dhanvantari Puja which was followed by an introductory address by Dr. Gupta. There after, Dr. Surendra Chaudhary, presented his deep insights on the legal aspects of Clinical Management and overall issues in Ayurveda related to licensing, approvals, permissions, challenges, and a number other aspects. He helped the audience understand how to fulfill all the stipulated regulations while setting up a clinic. He also enlightened the practitioners on the fine details that concern day-to-day practice and dispensing of medical drugs. Dr. Chaudhary also educated the participants on indemnity bonds, medical insurance for clinics, Government schemes and regulations. Encouraged by the new knowledge, many Doctors asked questions about the specific laws concerning their practices and methods.
The second session was delivered by Dr. Anuj Jain. Renowned for his highly effective methodology and years of research, Dr. Jain is considered an expert in emergency treatment through Ayurveda. He elucidated on the treatment approach and medication related to renal failure and Kidney Disease Management. He provided a detailed and elaborate explanation on the pathology of the kidney problems, spoke about the medicines and herbs that he discovered after years of research and found effective in renal failure management, and gave insights on how organs of the body are interconnected. Dr. Jain called for the original practice of root cause of the diseases as laid down in the principles of Ayurveda and not the Symptomatic treatment as done in Allopathy. He interacted with the practitioners on Doshas and Ayurvedic Pharmacology as well. Dr. Jain’s session was the high note of the entire event which not only made the audience more curious but as they agreed, it also helped them learn a lot of things that they earlier couldn’t figure out.
The day one of the CME ended with high tea after the third session by Dr. Abhishek Gupta who introduced to the practitioners the innovative concept of Clinical Management in Ayurveda through the means of dedicated technology. He gave an insight into how Nirogstreet platform and the integrated tools can help the practitioners by making their everyday practice, record keeping, patient case history, etc. Much easier and far more organized. On Day 2, Sunday, February 25th, the session was started by Dr. Gaurang Joshi who is a well-known Ayurveda expert in Cancer Management and Dermatology. Dr. Joshi pointed out the difficulties and the reasons for it that practitioners face while treating the Cancer patients. He said that Panchakarma therapy indeed is helpful in containing the disease. He inspired the attendees by motivating them to invest more faith in Ayurveda and think in a diverse way. His session covered the details on patient diagnosis, proper care, the correct combination of Ayurvedic medicines, and the Psychosomatic causes of the diseases. He also spoke about the treatment of Psoriasis.
Dr. Gupta delivered another session on Gallbladder Stone Management and role of Ayurveda in present times. Post the lectures, an interactive session with high tea was held for a comprehensive discussion on the takeaways from the workshop. Dr. Deepti Gupta (Kiaan Ayurveda), Dr. Prashant Shandilya, Vaidya Lalit Sharma, Vaidya Somya, Dr. Madhu Arora, Dr. Sangeeta, Dr. Ekta Gupta, Dr. Anant Tripathi, Dr. Namita Agarwal and several other Doctors from Delhi & NCR too attended the CME.
The event concluded after certificate distribution and vote of thanks to the speakers.
