The Ministry of Ayush has undertaken various initiatives since its inception in 2014. Ayurveda Parv is one of these initiatives. The last ayurveda parv of this season is slated to be held in Patna (Bihar) from march 16-18 under the aegis of the Ayush Ministry and All India Ayurvedic Congress in active collaboration with the Government of Bihar.
Distinguished Chief Guests Shri Nitish Kumar (Honorable Chief Minister of Bihar), Shri Shripad Yesso Naik (Honorable Ayush Minister, Goi), Padma Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha (Secretary, Ayush), and Padma Bhushan Vaidya Devendra Triguna (Chairman, All India Ayurvedic Congress) would be present at the inauguration ceremony along with various other dignitaries and officials. Nirogstreet, committed to the cause and advancement of Ayurveda, will be the official knowledge partner of the event.
Ayurveda Parv has been organized in many states so far, including Delhi. Bihar, where the latest Parv is being organized, is no outsider in the historic journey of Ayurveda. It has contributed its own bit toward Ayurveda and the wellness of people. It is imperative that the Ayurveda Parv connects more people as well as practitioners from all corners of the country. It will also open new avenues in the state for the industry and organizations dedicated toward making Ayurveda the first call of treatment for everyone.
The main objectives of the Ayurveda Parv are as follows:
- Promotion of best health practices with an holistic approach for optimal health and preventive care.
- Informing the people about the potential and benefits of Ayurveda.
- Bringing Ayurveda programs and schemes launched by Central and State Governments to the knowledge of the people.
- Creating a mutual interface among those who are part of the Ayurveda industry.
- Providing an authentic knowledge platform for students, teachers, and practitioners.
- Recognizing and acknowledging contributions of individuals and organizations in facilitating Ayurveda healthcare services.
- Creating mass awareness on importance of healthy lifestyle.
The 3-day Parv will be a highly relevant and significant exercise toward promoting health in the society. Diabetes will be an important theme at the conference, since it has become one of the most challenging diseases in recent years.
In the present scenario, the world is ailing with a number of chronic diseases. People are facing an upsurge in illnesses that have no cure in western medicine. It is a mass-level health crisis that needs an Implicit Addressal. Of late, even the west is turning to Ayurveda to find comprehensive solutions for the wellness.
At a time when 65% of India’s population comprises of youth, it is incumbent upon us to ensure the Wellbeing of the society. Hence, as the only preventive and holistic system of medicine, Ayurveda is the hope we can collectively look forward to. It offers health resolution not by just treating the symptoms, but also by taking an integral approach toward the root cause of the ailments. Ayurveda is the only medical science that aims to deliver Sound Physical, Mental, and Social Health. It is the need of the hour to propagate and promote Ayurveda across India and the world as the first line of treatment. Ayurveda Parv is an endeavor and awareness campaign in this very direction.
Ayurveda Parv aims to create an outreach of Ayurveda to the Grassroot levels so that its health goals can be realized at every level. It is also the aim of the Parv to benefit the people involved in the Ayurveda industry through this expansion which also involves major medical tourism impetus in Ayush sector.
Historically speaking, Ayurveda is a system of medicine that has evolved through 3,500 years of medical practices based upon Herbs, Therapies, Yoga, Meditation, and Diet. Originally derived from the Vedic Scriptures and laid down as elaborate medical treatise by the likes of Charaka, Sushruta, and Vagbhata, Ayurveda has remained a traditional and reassuring healthcare system over the course of past several millennia.
As a matter of fact, Ayurveda has a huge role today in determining the wellness and healthy status of the society at a global scale. Western medicine has failed to contain the threat and upsurge of non-communicable and chronic diseases, such as Diabetes and Cancer. Hence, people are left with no choice but to look for effective remedies. This desperate search for a better medicine system has brought them closer to Ayurveda. The actual challenge is that majority of people still aren’t aware of the advantages of this ancient medicine system.
The cure for all the diseases was always around, at least in the Indian subcontinent. Taking pure Ayurveda and its true essence to the mainstream by enabling infrastructure and empowering the industry is what the Ayush Ministry is striving to accomplish. Nirogstreet too is acting upon the same objectives, by creating a robust community and knowledge driven evidence-based platform.
The Ayurveda Parv in Patna will have lectures by Chief Guests, Eminent Dignitaries, and Ayurveda functionaries. Medical consultation and free distribution of medicines, discourses on diseases and their management, Ayurveda quiz for students and public, exhibits, discussions on current education, workshops, drug manufacturing deliberation, etc. would be some of the highlights of the events.
