I completed my B.A.M.S. from MD University Rohtak in 1996. I had 10th rank in the B.A.M.S. State Entrance Exam. I have Post Graduation Diploma in Panchakarma from Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pune in 2003, a fine institution to learn real Ayurveda. I also have a certificate in Yoga from Morarji Desai Institute of Yoga, New Delhi.
In the modern age of computer science, Ayurveda is not a popular choice. But it was a great decision since I got a lot of benefits from choosing it. I have a healthy family and my patients are happy. It has been over 20 years of pure Ayurveda practice and a completely worthwhile journey indeed.
I just wanted to be a doctor, wasn’t specific about Ayurveda. In those times, Ayurveda as a career did not have much of a scope. Since I was not getting a good college for M.B.B.S., I opted to study Ayurveda.
No. my family has a teaching background.
Absolutely. People come from far away to see me. In fact, even Allopathy Doctors visit for medical advice or treatment. They do not want to take steroids and other such western medicines anymore. I think that is a good thing. The most appropriate medicine or right treatment for anything should be the only call of medication, whether it is Ayurveda or Allopathy.
Yes, I think private practitioners have lesser facilities and the cost of the whole infrastructure is too high with all the rules and regulations involved. It is my request to the Government to support the pure Ayurveda practitioners. This would benefit more and more patients since Government Hospitals and Health Centers cannot be available everywhere. The dream of a healthy society can be achieved once we work together and cooperate mutually.
There was this case of a patient with a respiratory problem. He had Asthma and Severe Wheat Allergy. He could not even sleep due to this. The Allopathic medication wasn’t proving any beneficial. I started the treatment and cured him completely. Ayurveda is so charismatic. Even with simple Lifestyle corrections and Diet management, you can treat many complications.
I think it is totally effective in 90% of cases. In 10% of cases, which are emergency ones, Allopathy is really helpful.
I think it is a good initiative by the government. Integrating Ayurveda in all modern hospitals and healthcare systems would bring many positive results. Ayurveda is known to cure cancer and even remove the side effects of chemotherapy. Hence, the integrated approach can easily be the best treatment. Also, it would bring forth broad research that is much needed. Foreign countries will too accept Ayurveda and its effectiveness with such outcomes.
It is definitely a good platform. There’s one suggestion I’d like to share. Besides all the endeavors Nirogstreet is undertaking, it should also plan to bring financial advantages for the practitioners. We have dedicated our whole time to the practice and studied and worked hard to better the health of the people. We should as well benefit from it in turn.
I like singing and listening to Punjabi songs and reading Ayurveda texts. I am passionate about Ayurveda to the core. I also like meditation. I am a god-loving person.
I’d say adopt Ayurveda. Nothing is better than this. Take care of your lifestyle and diet. Tell the children to follow it. Apply these good practices in your family. Be well.
