I passed my B.A.M.S. from M.S.M. institute of Ayurveda, BPS Women’s University, Khanpur, Sonipat, Haryana in 2006.
I am fortunate to have grown a particular liking for Ayurveda during the initial days after my admission to the college. My teachers, especially Dr. Pushpendra Sharma, explained to me the significance of Ayurveda at the very right time in my life when my career education was just starting. They helped me understand how Ayurveda is such a time-proven and natural healing science with no side effects. He motivated us not to give up or be charmed by the modern science and other Pathies. It instilled a deep faith in me for Ayurveda. I am very grateful to them.
It is difficult at times to make the patients understand the treatment and benefits. Once they start getting results, they automatically recommend it to other patients.
Practising Ayurveda is a challenge in itself. The toughest part is convincing the patients. The Ayurvedic medicines are not palatable, so that also is an issue.
So far I have been able to deal with all the cases with success. Let’s hope this stays this way only.
Traditional medicines are natural and more effective for many reasons. Allopathic medicines are more popular just because of their symptomatic approach and the perception of quick effect. People have little idea about the side effects of western medicines. I have been using Ayurveda medicines and it too is fast, if you ask me. I will give you an example from my personal experience too. My son, when he was just 4 years old, developed a problem in the adenoid. Due to this, he was beginning to suffer from hearing loss. I consulted several of the Allopathy specialists and they all recommended surgery. I had my faith in Ayurveda intact and I chose to treat him according to Ayurveda only. Today my son is 9 years old and he never faced the problem again. Ayurveda can cure every disease without making it complicated.
I can see a bright future is already in the making for Ayurveda. More researches, however, should be done and published from time to time. There should be a focus on increasing the quality of the Ayurvedic medicines.
Yes, of course. Nirogstreet is doing a very good job. I am sure it will do a lot of good to Ayurveda and the community.
I like to spend the free time with my little kids. I also like reading Ayurveda texts.
If we follow the basic principle of Ayurveda, we can keep a lot of diseases at bay. I would suggest that people keep their children away from junk food as much as possible and rather give them herbs like Giloy and Ibrahim to increase their immunity. Healthy children will make a healthy nation.
