Dr. Komal Behl is a practitioner who has a great passion for pure Ayurveda. She has cured as many thousands of patients so far. She has a tremendous amount of energy in her as she strives to treat the patients with the utmost care, patience, and faith. Read on to know about her Ayurveda journey.

Dr. Behl, please tell us about your educational background and professional qualification briefly.

I’m from Ludhiana. I completed my 12th from CBSE board. I have completed my education from Dayanand Ayurvedic College, Jalandhar. I joined an allopathic hospital and worked as an emergency medical officer in Neuro-ICU for a year. I learned a lot there but in the back of my mind I was a bit anxious as my interest in Ayurveda was deep and genuine, yet there I was serving some another pathy. So I left the hospital after one year and joined Patanjali Chikitsalaya. This was the only platform that gave me the opportunity to apply teachings of pure Ayurveda to treat at least 50 patients on a daily basis. This platform helped me build my base in Ayurveda where I created my own successful formulas and got a lot of success in treating patients. I cured many patients of typical skin diseases, oa, migraine, depression, mouth ulcer, myocardial infarction with 90% coronary blockage, pcod, diabetes, scalp psoriasis, and even wheat allergy.

Why did you choose ayurvedic practices?

Then I gave the entrance exams to seek admission in MBBS basically, however, according to my rank I was getting BDS. As I wanted to become a physician, I rather opted for BAMS. Unknowingly, I had made the best decision for my career if I look back now.

What is your experience when it comes to treating patients? Do they trust the treatment?
The patient started trusted me so much that even today my patients who took treatment from me 4 years back, prefer to take my advice whenever they suffer from any disease. This is the miracle of our pathy, Ayurveda.

Any challenge that you face as a practitioner?

The main challenge for an Ayurvedic practitioner is when your patient starts comparing your therapy with modern treatment, especially when they want a cure for chronic diseases within days. At that time you need to show strong faith towards Ayurveda. I have faced such situations many times, more so with patients with hyperuricemia and renal problems.

Any out of ordinary situation that you have faced while treating a patient?

I have treated more than 25,000 patients so far. I think every patient's case is unique and even Ayurveda teaches similarly. Every recovery of health, big or small, brings joy to me as a doctor.

How effective is traditional medicine as a cure?
As a cure our traditional medicine is very effective, I won't say in all the diseases, but in most of them, it has shown miracles. Such as when patients suffering from DM (Diabetes) with sugar level more than 400, taking strong allopathic tablets, come to me for Ayurvedic treatment and after the right diagnosis and line of treatment their sugar is well-controlled, just with only with lifestyle corrections and the right diet. That’s really a wonderful approach. I have cured many patients of scalp psoriasis with remarkable success.

What do you think of Ayurveda's future and its role in integrated medicine?

In my view, Ayurveda has a very bright future in the case of many diseases like cancer, skin problems, diabetes, etc. The methodologies of integrated medicine are yet to be seen and reflected.

Do you think Nirogstreet is making a difference by striving to connect the mainstream society exclusively to Ayurveda practitioners through dedicated technology platforms?

Nirogstreet is a very good platform for discussions about Ayurveda and to learn more about it. It is advantageous for both Ayurveda doctors and students.

Any hobbies or activities you engage in, outside your professional life?

My hobbies include writing my experiences on my page called ‘Pure Ayurveda’ on Facebook. Preferably, I do research on cancer, read more about it whenever I get time.

What message would you like to convey to the people on wellbeing?

About wellbeing, I must say as goes the old adage that prevention is better than cure. Everyone must include yoga, green tea, and the daily walk to their precious lifestyle and take care of their diet because wrong diet and stress are the two most basic causes of almost every disease.
