Patients Come With Trust In The Physician And The Medicines: Dr. Himanshu Shekhar Tiwari

Dr. Himanshu Shekhar Tiwari is a seasoned Ayurveda practitioner from West Delhi. He has over 12 years of experience so far. He has his own Dr. Tiwari Ayurvedic Clinic In Uttam Nagar. He shared his insights and experiences about Ayurveda with Nirogstreet. Read his interview below.

Please tell us about your professional background.

I am M.D. in Ayurveda from Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar. I have completed my B.A.M.S. from Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College, Delhi UIniversity.

Why did you choose Ayurvedic practices?

I am the second generation from my family in this field. The first influence came from there. The second motivation came from my teachers, seniors, and friends as I went on to study Ayurveda.

What is your experience when it comes to treating patients? Do they trust the treatment?

Without trust nothing can be done, patient is treated with trust in the Pathy. Patients come to the physician with trust in the physician and the medicines. It is always a good experience to treat patients with a positive thought.

Any challenge that you face as a practitioner?

There are many challenges in this field. In today situation, patients are coming with the knowledge of diseases and their conditions gathered from the internet. It is not a feasible approach with the physician since such an information creates more misunderstanding than awareness.

Any out of ordinary situation that you have faced while treating a patient?

In Ayurveda, there are many situations which are not ordinary. Every patient is unique.

How effective is traditional medicine as a cure?

Ayurveda is very much effective when the problem is properly diagnosed and treated according to the patient’s Prakriti.

What do you think of Ayurveda’s future and its role in integrated platforms?

It can be a good incentive. About Ayurveda, people are becoming more aware of Ayurveda and its benefits.

Yes. such efforts are needed in Ayurveda.

Any hobbies or activities you engage in outside your professional life?

Listening to music, meeting interesting people, visiting historical monuments.

What message would you like to convey to the people on Wellbeing?

Take diet in a proper manner and in proper quantity, have no worries, and stay happy. This is the key to health.
