● Dysentery
According to the Ayurvedic view, a parasite called E histolytic is responsible for amoebic dysentery. It is known as pravahikain Ayurveda and is caused due to vitiated vata and kaphadoshas. In severe cases, this condition can also cause the presence of mucus and blood in the stool. Due to the presence of deepan (appetizer) and pachan (digestion) properties in skeletal chini, it can help to improve digestive fire. It also has a krimighna (anti-worm) nature, which can help to get rid of dysentery–causing parasites.

● Flatulence (gas formation)
According to the Ayurvedic view, an imbalance of vata and pitta dosha can cause flatulence. This is because low pitta dosha and exacerbated vatadosha can cause a weak digestive fire, which further causes poor digestion. This leads to the formation of gas or flatulence. However, due to the presence of deepan (appetizer) and pachan (digestion) in sheetal chini, it can help manage flatulence and prevent indigestion.

This facilitates airflow to the lungs, prevents cough, and provides easy breathing. It also has expectorant property that helps in enhancing sputum secretion from the airways and enables easy breathing.
