How To Manage Your Joint Pain Effectively

'Joint Pain' is a term which does not need any introduction, a lot of people suffer from this type of pain. Stress on joints, tendency to over-stretch, sedentary lifestyle, etc. May cause the Joint Pain. We often try to curb the pain by taking the painkillers. However, the joint pain is not a disease which will go away just by taking the painkillers. Painkillers are, in fact, a way of getting the relief temporarily. If you want to have a permanent relief from Joint Pain, then it should be treated to its root cause. The Ayurvedic Treatment for Joint Pain has time and again proved to be very useful. The Ayurveda way of treatment involves understanding the reason behind the pain and the kind of Dosha, an approach which is the basis of all Ayurvedic treatments.

A human body has 206 bones and 360 joints. The joint pain can occur in any joint. There are some common joint pains, such as:

Knee Pain - One of the most common areas for joint paint are knees. It is generally believed that knee pain occurs due to ageing, however, this is not the only reason. The knee pain can be due to excess strain, injury, exertion, or due to the conditions such as Gout, Osteoarthritis, Septic Arthritis. The Ayurvedic treatment for the knee pain depends upon the root cause of the pain and accordingly the person is given the treatment. The Ayurvedic treatment of knee pain involves giving the medicines and oils extracted from Ayurvedic Herbs such as Rasanadi and Guggulu. The person is given the treatment through therapies such as Abhyanga, Janu Basti, Patra Panda Sweda, Lepa, Upanaha. The person is Encoouraged to do exercises which strengthen the muscle, help in managing the pain and reduce the stiffness. The overweight people are advised to exercise and follow a diet so as to reduce the weight. Weight loss helps relieve the pain and does not let the joints to get damaged further.

Back Pain - It is also one of the common areas of Joint Pain. The back pain makes people's life really stressful. The back pain makes even the simple task such as sitting or driving very tough. The back pain can be due to sitting for a long time in a wrong posture, any strain in the spine, or the conditions such as Arthritis and Spondylosis. In Ayurveda there are many effective therapies which help the patient in getting relief from the back pain, such as Abhyangam, Kati Basti, Pizhichil, Kizhi, Sneha Basti, Kashaya Basti. These therapies use the medicated oil made from Ayurvedic Herbs.

Neck Pain - The neck pain is the problem in the joint when the person finds it too stiff to move the neck freely. The most common term or cause which leads to neck pain is cervical, other causes of neck pain are the strain, osteoporosis, spinal stenosis, sitting in wrong postures, pronged use of computers, etc. The neck pain is a very horrifying experience as it generally starts with the neck and even affects forehead or at times the shoulder. The Ayurvedic treatment of neck pain involves first understanding the cause of neck pain, the history and time period of pain. Accordingly, the patient is given the treatment through medicines and therapies so that the pain subsides and further there is no degeneration of nerves, bones or cartilages.

Shoulder Pain - Shoulder is the part of the body which can rotate 360 degrees, thus the pain in the shoulder restricts the movement of the person. The shoulder pain can be due to stress, strain, dislocation of the shoulder, pinched nerves, heavy exercise and any activity which causes strain on shoulders. The Ayurveda use the medicines made from the herbs such as Asavams, Thailams, and Lehyams for the treatment of the shoulder pain. There are various Ayurvedic therapies which are very effective for shoulder pain such as Pizhicill, Elakiazhi, and Najam.

Hip Pain - The hip pain can be due to pain in hip joint, muscles surrounding hip or ligaments. The most common cause of hip pain is arthritis. According to the cause of hip pain, the Ayurvedic treatment is given for hip pain which includes the treatment through Ayurvedic Herbs.
