Why Celebrate National Ayurveda Day Only on Dhanteras

By NS Desk | Ayurveda News | Posted on :   13-Nov-2020

National Ayurveda Day is celebrated every year on the day of Dhanteras. Lord Dhanvantari is believed to be the god of Ayurveda and healing.

According to beliefs, Lord Dhanvantari originated during Samudra Manthan. Lord Dhanvantari, who came out of the churning of the ocean, had the urn in his hands.

For this reason, the birthday of Lord Dhanwantari is celebrated as Dhanteras (Dhanteras) two days before Diwali. In such a situation, National Ayurveda Day is celebrated on the day of Dhanteras, the birthday of Lord Dhanvantari, who is called the God of Ayurveda.
